"Dear Friend"—released on January 24, 2025 as Nicola Alaimo's debut single—is a mellow, emotional pop ballad about unrequited love, told from the perspective of suspended heartbreak. Written like an unsent letter, its raw and intimate lyrics capture the weight of unspoken feelings, while the music sonically mirrors the emotional burden of holding back what aches to be said. (Bass & drums composed by Alec McLeester)
"Stride" is an uplifting acoustic pop anthem about perseverance and self-belief. With its bright melodies and driving rhythm, the song captures the feeling of pushing forward despite doubt and obstacles. The lyrics serve as a reminder to trust the journey, embrace challenges, and keep moving with confidence. Energetic yet heartfelt, Stride is a soundtrack for resilience, turning setbacks into stepping stones. (Drums performed by Liam Loftus & Alec McLeester, Bass composed by Alec McLeester)

This cover of "Too Late To Turn Back Now" by the Cornelius Brothers was collaboratively recorded in TCNJ's Recording Studio as part of the Music Technology program's Audio Recording & Production course, taught by Grammy-winning producer Doug Beavers. In addition to composing the string section and singing background vocals, Nicola Alaimo mixed and mastered the track as her final exam for the class. (Lead vocals by Alec McLeester, piano by Aidan Reeves, bass by Brendan Meriney and drums by Dave Meriney)
This piece was composed and performed by Kalyani, a South Asian music group at The College of New Jersey. Recorded in TCNJ's studio with student audio engineers Nicola Alaimo, Alex Enfield, and Aidan Rogers, the track was later edited and mixed by Nicola Alaimo.
What began as a fun experiment with vocal layering quickly evolved into a full cover! This rendition of "Some Nights" by Fun started in a college dorm room before transitioning to the recording studio. In a spontaneous burst of creativity, Nicola Alaimo and Amelia Phillips ambitiously arranged and performed a vocal recreation of this childhood favorite. The track was then mixed by Nicola Alaimo.

This piece is an emotionally striking, conversational blend of "Break My Heart Again" by FINNEAS and "Sorry" by Halsey, weaving together their opposing perspectives on a relationship struggle. Nicola Alaimo seamlessly merged the two songs to create a dynamic musical dialogue, capturing both sides of heartbreak and regret. Inspired by the music duo 8eyes, this project reimagines the originals as a single, fluid conversation.
Created in 2019, this is one of Nicola’s earliest music production projects. She learned each part of "Back From The Edge" by James Arthur by ear, recreated it in MIDI, and then built the piece from the ground up. This project marked a pivotal moment in her musical journey, solidifying her passion and inspiring her to continue pursuing the craft.
