Hello! I’m Nicola Alaimo—a video editor, audio engineer, and storyteller working at the intersection of music, media, and visual communication.

I recently graduated Magna Cum Laude from The College of New Jersey with a B.A. in Communication Studies (Digital Filmmaking) and a minor in Music Technology. At TCNJ, I served as Lead Student Technician at the campus recording studio—engineering sessions, managing operations, and cultivating a collaborative creative environment.

As President of the Association for Music Production and Discussion and a producer for the campus television club, I led initiatives that gave student artists space to collaborate, perform, and share their work through showcases, workshops, and original video content.

Beyond campus, I’ve interned at The Barber Shop Studios and supported high-level studio sessions as an audio engineer, videographer, and production assistant.

One of my most meaningful projects to date is Life We Lead—a short film and original song created during a three-month hiatus from social media. Developed in response to personal burnout and digital overload, the piece blends original music, narrative filmmaking, and voiceover to explore Gen Z’s evolving relationship with technology, attention, and identity. It has sparked thoughtful conversations and continues to resonate with audiences navigating similar tensions.

Now, I’m eager to apply my skills in storytelling, video editing, and audio production toward creative roles in media, music, and advertising—where I can help shape content that informs, inspires, and leaves a lasting impact.
